I can't see how it's an app issue.3 different apps on 2 different phones, plus Outlook worked since I bought this phone in November. I spent a couple hours on chat with Shaw over the weekend but they offered little help just claiming that it must be an app issue, especially since webmail works. The same problem exists on 2 email accounts (both one personal and one business). Webmail works fine, and the apps all work fine when I'm on a wifi connection. Download and install the ProtonMail Bridge app. Click Settings in the toolbar, then IMAP/SMTP in the left sidebar. Tried both IMAP settings and POP3 settings. In order to use your ProtonMail account with Postbox, you need to have the ProtonMail Bridge app installed on your system: Login to your ProtonMail account using a web browser. With Proton Mail Bridge, you can use desktop clients via IMAP/SMTP like Microsoft Outlook, Apple Mail, or Mozilla Thunderbird while benefiting from Proton Mail’s end-to-end encryption. When setting up a new app, I can get past the incoming server configuration, but it always fails on the outgoing. I even tried setting up K-9 on my wife's iPhone and I can't sent email from there either. ![]() I've tried 3 different apps (Outlook, BlueMail, K-9) on my Samsung S20-FE and I get the same result. No settings have been changed so I'm struggling to understand what's going on. ![]() At first it was intermittent, but it has now progressed to the point where I can't send any emails while on a Shaw mobile connection. Over the past 4 weeks I've had an issue where emails get stuck in my outbox.
